Each approach produces five metrics: cognitive efficiency (speed and resource cost), novel insight quality (creativity and adaptability), adaptability, decision quality, and stress & risk. The advantage gauge shows which approach leads at your current settings.
Mindless approaches excel in routine, low-complexity situations. Mindful approaches gain ground as complexity rises and rules stop fitting. Time pressure can sharpen mindful attention or degrade it — the effect depends on the scenario.
This is a conceptual educational simulator grounded in Ellen Langer's mindfulness/mindlessness theory. It is not a validated clinical or diagnostic tool.
